The discovery of Techgnosis is credited to members of Albion’s Royal Society after a research trip to the jungles of Amazonia where they experimented with extracts from rare psychotropic plants. Realising that if their mind-altering affects could be harnessed it could help to unlock the full potential of the human mind, the spark of divinity in man otherwise known as the Scintilla.

Back at the Royal Society, technicians successfully synthesised these plant extracts and by using controlled doses administered with a precise electro-magnetic charge they were able to induce heightened psychic ability in test subjects. Using this technique, the exhibition of telepathic and telekinetic abilities was recorded as scientific fact during a series of stringent trials.

In addition to this heightened cerebral function, technicians also noticed an increase in mental cognition & physical capabilities. However once the dosage wore off, test subjects would return to their previous normal state.

The Royal Society named their discovery Techgnosis and the rest is history.
